Accumulation Tank

What is an accumulation tank?

Accumulation tanks building, hotel, dormitory, such as public offices where collective living is in question . It is used together with plate heat exchangers usedto obtain water.

WHY USE AN ACCUMULATION TANK?

Day of domestic hot water demand in such places at certain hours of the day, when it is at its highestvalues, at other times it is below the average required flow rate. Therefore , all tapswill be opened at the same time accumulation tank is needed in the (peak) circuit. Accumulation tanks are used wherever there is a need for hot water , such as public buildings. Excessive fluctuations in the water temperature sent to the places of use can be prevented and thus, comfort of use can be increased. Places of use due to sudden drops in demand the risk of a sudden rise in the outgoing water temperature can be prevented and thus, safety of use can be increased.

Accumulation Tank

Only to meet peak demand at certain times The heating boiler in the system together with the heatexchanger , burner, expansion tank and circulation pump , is large enough to provide this capacity instantaneously the need to be established , and this ,The initial investment cost can be reduced. Plate heat exchanger with the fluctuation in the instantaneous heat value drawn from the system, depending onthe automation system, frequent and irregular activation of the burner in and out of the boiler can be prevented and thus the combustion efficiency of the boiler energy consumption and therefore operating costs can be reduced.

WHERE IS THE ACCUMULATION TANK USED?

  • Apartment buildings
  • Detached buildings
  • Hospitals
  • Dormitories
  • Sports facilities
  • Factories

and in many such constructions, accumulation tanks are needed.

Why Stainless Steel Accumulation Tank?

All accumulation tanks made of stainless steel, pitting type corrosion, galvenic corrosion and crevice corrosion conditions

The corrosion resistance of stainless steel is very high, special manufacturing methods to minimize the risk of corrosion and the structure of the steel is protectedby cathodic protection.

LONG LIFE
The life of boilers made of stainless steel is much more durable than enamel type boilers due to the structure of the material used.
SMART INVESTMENT
Boilers made of stainless steel are durable and easy to maintain and are economical considering the whole life of the material.
CONTINUITY IN BUSINESS
Since stainless boilers are long-lasting, there will be no hot water interruptions as they will not cause malfunctions in businesses such as hotel factories. In building applications, the wall is often demolished in order to place new boilers in the boiler room instead of the old boilers, this process will not be necessary since the life of stainless boilers is long.
HIGH STANDARD
Every material used in boilers is tested and manufactured with special manufacturing methods and machines.

Accumulation Tank Technical Specifications

Stainless steel accumulation tanks are manufactured from the following materials;

304L grade stainless steel is the version of 304 grade stainless steel with a carbon content of less than 0.03%. This stainless steel quality, which is almost identical to 304 quality stainless steel in terms of its basic properties, is recommended instead of 304 quality where welding is intense. There is no harm in using 304L instead of 304 quality, 304 quality stainless material instead of 304L quality. However, it would be more appropriate to prefer 304L grade stainless steel in places where welding is intense in order to prevent carbon carburization. This grade has a low carbon content, which minimizes carbon carburization and minimizes the effect of the extreme heat generated during welding. In summary, it is important that 304L quality contains less carbon for easier welding, but there is no harm in using 304 quality instead of this quality.

316 quality stainless steel is a material quality obtained by adding molybdenum and more nickel into 304 quality stainless steel. The corrosion resistance of 316 stainless steel materials is very good even in harsh environments (sea water, acidic liquids, etc.) thanks to its chemical content. In addition, the ultimate strength of 316 grade materials is much higher than 304 grade materials. If parts are to be joined by welding, they are at risk of corrosion due to heating. To avoid such situations , stainless steel grade 316L (1.4404) with a lower carbon content should be used. 316L grade stainless steel is similar to 316 grade stainless steel in terms of chemical content, but contains a lower proportion of carbon. Therefore, 316L stainless steel does not require post-weld annealing even in thick sections.

LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN – MECHANICAL DURABILITY Since the allowable safety stress of stainless steel is higher than that of black steel
, it can be produced from thinner material. The weights of all kinds of boilers and tanks up to 75-5000 lt are 17-37% lighter than galvanized dipping and enamel coated boilers.

HIGH TECHNOLOGY Since stainless steel material is very durable due to its structure , it can only be manufactured with high quality high technology manufacturing
methods.

QUALITY Every boiler produced has an identity,
materials are taken into production after being tested. Test values are available to our dealers/distributors in Turkish or English upon request.
